Marine Corp Marathon – He Did It!
When my husband sets out to do something, he does it! Over a year ago, an old High School friend from Berkmar asked James to run a half Marathon with him. He did that and then became highly addicted to running. He then set a goal for a full marathon with his brother, Steven. This meant months of training. On October 25th James ran his full marathon in 4 hours and 6 minutes.
The day James ran the marathon went smooth for him, but the kids and I had a bit of a difficult day. We walked 2.5 miles to get to the finish line. Once we were there, we missed James crossing the finish line. Once the time reached 4 hours and 30 minutes, I realized James had to of crossed the finish line by then. We proceeded to walk another 1/2 mile to meet him. Once we found James, we had to walk another 1/4 mile to get to the bus. We finally were able to rest our feet while we road the bus to downtown DC. We had to walk another 1 1/2 miles to the car. What a day!
Here are a few images from the day! This is the 9/11 Memorial Flag that hangs at the Pentagon.

Here is one of the amazing Wheelchair Competitor. These guys were amazing!

Here are my babies! Tristen was a real trooper till mile 5. Asher acted like he was running a marathon. Every few minutes he would fall to the ground and cry, “I can’t do it anymore.” The picture on the right was the most fun they had all day. They got to roll down the hill to get to the track.

Here are the runner at the finish line.

Here are my boys at the finish line!

A sweet face from Atlanta Gymnastics Center
This week we photographed the kids from the Atlanta Gymnastics Center and had a wonderful time. Thanks to all the parents for you patience and for lending us your space for our sessions. To view them, go to event gallery, then view proofs!

Published in a Children’s Book
We mentioned a few weeks ago that James had been asked to photograph pages for a local author who was writing a children’s book. Well, here is a little teaser for those who are interested. We are hoping to have the book published and ready for purchase at the Leapin Lizards Halloween Bash on October 31st. If you don’t already know about the Halloween Bash, click on studio news above and read all the fun details. Make sure you join us and compete in our Halloween Costume Contest. It’s so much fun and drags out the competitive side in parents. Ok, here is my favorite page in the book.

A Day In The Park With Our Boys!
We are always photographing someone else’s kids, so today we decided to photograph our own kids.
One of my mentors, Sandy Puc says that photographing your own kids is the hardest thing you will have to do.
Tristen is an exception to the rule. He is always smiling and posing for the camera. I think he got that from me!

Asher on the other hand…. not so easy! His name actually means happy, but he doesn’t quite fit that category all the time.

I love this pic of me and the boys! They had enough pictures, but what little boy doesn’t love to kiss his Mommy!

Love! that photo with the children and moon and stars, Spectacular!!!……and the baby picture.
