Published in a Children’s Book
We mentioned a few weeks ago that James had been asked to photograph pages for a local author who was writing a children’s book. Well, here is a little teaser for those who are interested. We are hoping to have the book published and ready for purchase at the Leapin Lizards Halloween Bash on October 31st. A Day In The Park With Our Boys!
We are always photographing someone else’s kids, so today we decided to photograph our own kids.
One of my mentors, Sandy Puc says that photographing your own kids is the hardest thing you will have to do.
Tristen is an exception to the rule. He is always smiling and posing for the camera. I think he got that from me!
Asher on the other hand…. not so easy! His name actually means happy, but he doesn’t quite fit that category all the time.
I love this pic of me and the boys! They had enough pictures, but what little boy doesn’t love to kiss his Mommy!
Colt is 6 months!
We had the pleasure of photographing these two adorable young men in one of favorite gardens. This is Colt’s 6 month session. I can’t believe how quickly time passes with these little ones. Big brother Slade was so patient with his little brother!

The Jones Family finally got their delivery… a healthy baby boy! Jacob is going to have so much playing with this new toy! Benjamin is such a sweet baby and we can’t wait to see what he will look like in 3 months.
Good luck mom and dad… we know what it’s like to have two boys!
just Shine Model Search
James Adam Hill Photography, Fashionado, and LUXE Atlanta have teamed up for the
“2009 just Shine Model Search.”
The city of Atlanta and the modeling industry will vote for the top 10 models in Atlanta. These models will participate in a professional fashion shoot, have the opportunity for a ONE-ON-ONE meeting with a Director of Elite Model Management and be featured as a LUXE Atlanta Boutique model.
Calling all men and women, ages 15-24.
Open casting call will begin at 10:00 AM on September 12, 2009 at LUXE-Atlanta and Studio 1*FIVE*0.
Head-shots will be posted on the web for the first round of online voting. The ten chosen will be divided by five public choices, and five modeling industry choices.
Once the ten finalists are chosen, they will receive star treatment as they prepare for a professional fashion shoot at Studio 1*FIVE*0 with James Adam Hill Photography. LUXE-Atlanta, Fashionado and Zonolite Hair Studio will provide wardrobe, accessories, hair and make-up.
After the professional photos are posted, modeling industry professionals will narrow their choice down to one. The winner will be announced on Oct. 21 during an exclusive party at an undisclosed location. The proceeds made from the night will be donated to the “Not For Sale GA,” a charity to end human trafficking.
The Top 10 winners will receive…
- A Professional Fashion Shoot with the STAR treatment
- They will have the opportunity for a ONE-ON-ONE meeting with a Director of Elite Model Management
- Be featured as a LUXE Atlanta Boutique model.

Photographing pages for a Children’s Book
A couple of months ago, James and I were approached by the owner of Leapin’ Lizards, Dione Cubas. She wrote a song for her children when they were babies and wanted to turn it into a children’s book. She wanted us to photograph the pages of the book, rather than having illustrated pages.
Here we are several months later. We have had a blast photographing all the scenes with over 21 kids from around Atlanta. Thank you to all who have participated! We are honored to be a part and hope you have enjoyed the process!
